JH Girls Basketball vs Marion Local

The 8th grade class went on a trip to Washington D.C. during the week of April 3rd - 6th.  Please check out the attached letter that Mrs. Garke received last week regarding the trip.  It was an awesome trip with awesome people!  

The 7th and 8th grade band partnered up with the HS band on a successful winter concert on Sunday, February 26th.  The band sounded great!  Congratulations to everyone involved.  

Congratulations to the 5th grade students on completing the DARE program.  A special thanks to the Mercer County Sheriff's Department for their support with the program.  5th grade DARE graduation was held on Monday, February 27th with special guests, Ozzie and Zues.  Several 5th grade students presented their DARE essays with the audience and honor students were recognized.  

A big congratulations to Tony M., Braxton H., Jayna K., Harrison S., and Daniel F. on participating in the Mercer County Spelling Bee on Monday, February 27th.  All 5 represented St. Henry Middle School extremely well.  Harrison finished as the 2nd runner-up and Daniel was the champion!  This is the first time since 2002 that a St. Henry Middle School student was crowned champion.  

On Tuesday, February 14th, the 5th grade students presented their Wax Museum projects to the community.  Over the last couple of weeks, students have spent time researching their historical figure and developing a speech.  Community members had the opportunity to visit our historical 5th grade students throughout the day and an evening event.  Great job to the 5th grade students and teachers for making such an awesome event happen!
