$1,000 | "The $1,000 Annual Meeting Scholarship is open to any Midwest Electric member who will be a college or trade school student in the fall of 2024. Members, or children of members, must enter at the 2024 Annual Meeting on June 6, 2024, where the winner will be chosen by random drawing during the business portion of the annual meeting. The student must be present to win. Money will be disbursed in February 2025 following confirmation of college or trade school enrollment with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Please note: Current scholarship winners of the Children of Members Scholarship, the Touchstone Energy Achievement Scholarship, or past scholarship winners are not eligible to participate. | Van Wert Health Care Program | (5) $1,000 | Applicant must be a high school senior graduating in 2024 and residing and/or graduating from a school in Allen, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, or Van Wert Counties. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited two or four year post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis by the end of 2024. The school of choice must have a program leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate in the student’s chosen major. The applicant's major must be human healthcare specific (majoring in a biological science is permissible). A minimum of a 3.0 GPA in high school and must demonstrate good character.
