Quest Bridge Sep. 27, 2022 Multiple scholarships worth over $200,00 Connects academically outstanding high school seniors from low-income backgrounds with full four-year scholarships to the nation’s leading colleges. Finalists typically come from households earning less than $65,000 annually for a typical family of four and have minimal assets. This is not a strict cut-off and we encourage students who feel they have faced significant financial hardship to review these financial criteria carefully to see if they may qualify. They seek students who have demonstrated a level of academic achievement that meets or exceeds the admissions standards of our colleges. Click here for more information.  
BEES – BG (Book Grant) Dec. 1, 2022 $2,000 Applicant must be a graduating senior currently enrolled in a school district in the Northwest Region of the Ohio School Boards Association, and have plans to major in teacher education at an accredited college or university in the state of Ohio. Hagan Scholarship Foundation Dec. 1, 2022 Up to $48,000 Need-based merit scholarship designed to help rural students graduate college debt-free. Click here for the application.
Midwest Electric, Inc Children of Members Scholarship   (6)totaling $9,000 This scholarship has two phases, one local and one statewide. Midwest Electric will award scholarships to the top local students based upon a competition with other applicants. The top applicant will be eligible to compete for additional scholarships from Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives during the statewide competition in Columbus on April 15, 2022. To qualify, your parents must be customers of the cooperative. The parents must be year-round full-time residents of the cooperative; seasonal and commercial members do not qualify. Midwest Electric Touchstone Energy Achievement Scholarship   $2,000 The minimum cumulative grade point average is 2.75. Students are judged on how well their activities reflect the Touchstone Energy core values of accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to community, as well as their drive and dedication to achieving a college education despite any personal obstacles or special challenges they’ve faced. U.S. JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship   $1,000 Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. Ohio Township Association Scholarship   (4) $1,500 Local Government Achievement - Student must demonstrate outstanding citizenship through service and participation in commmunity activities / Academic Achievement - Students must have a B average (cumulative) and at least a 22 ACT score. ACME Baseball   $500 $500 academic scholarships to high school Seniors who have participated in ACME Baseball through their school and community. WOEF (Wright State Lake Campus)   Over $200,000 in scholarships WOEF scholarships are available for undergraduate direct-from-high-school, and new, current, returning and transfer students who plan to attend the Lake Campus and enroll for the minimum required credit hours. Esmonde Family Memorial Scholarship Postmarked or delivered by (3) $1,000 These three scholarships were established in 1998 at the Mercer County Civic Foundation in memory of the Esmonde Family. Ken Esmonde Sr. was an avid sports enthusiast; Chloe was a successful businesswoman, and their son, Ken II, a skilled mechanic interested in technology. WTLW TV Broadcast Scholarship   $1,000 Any student who is currently enrolled as a senior in high school and is planning on attending post-secondary college. All applicants must reside within WTLW TV's viewing area which includes Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Van Wert, Putnam, Mercer and Paulding counties. The committee will take into consideration current grades, extracurricular activities, demonstrated work ethic, local volunteer activities and successful completion of the application and essay. Darke Rural Electric Cooperatives Children of Members Scholarship   Varies Applicants must be sons, daughters, or legal wards of Darke Rural Electric Cooperative residential members, living on the lines and receiving service at the time of competition. OSU Alumni Scholars Scholarship   Award varies Applicants preferably apply to The Ohio State University, demonstrate academic merit, demonstrate involvement in school and community activities, show a sound interest and positive attitude toward college work. MED Foundation Scholarship   Award varies Any high school senior with an ACT of 23 or higher, a 3.25 or higher, and entering a health career. Selection Committee will invite selected applicants for an interview. Preference may be given to those applicants who have volunteered or worked at Mercer Health. One full scholarship will be awarded to a student from each of the six Mercer County high schools unless the high school does not have an acceptable qualified candidate. Stolly Insurance SUCCEED Scholarship   (3) $1,000 Any Student graduating high school in 2022 who is a primary resident of Ohio and is enrolling in secondary education for the 2021/2022 school year is eligible to apply. The committee will take into consideration current grades, extracurricular activities, leadership, work ethic, application, essay, and the applicant’s commitment to continued education when reviewing submitted applications. Midmark Technical Scholarship   $20,000 Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in engineering. D.A.R.E. Scholarship or given to the guidance office $500 Students eligible for this scholarship must be enrolled in a Mercer County School (Ohio) and have completed junior year of high school at time of application. Must lead a lifestyle consistent wth the goals and objectives of D.A.R.E. and be a graduate of a certified D.A.R.E. program before entering the 9th grade. Click here for the application. AAA School Safety Patrol Scholarship   $1,000 AAA Ohio Auto Club helps former AAA School Safety Patrol members further their education after graduation through the AAA School Safety Patrol to select HS seniors who once participated in the AAA School Safety Patrol program. Minster Dental Care Scholarship   (2) $1,000 Candidates must be an active patient of Minster Dental Care; enroll in a 4-year college; pursue a degree in a dental or medical field; have a GPA of 3.5 or higher; hold an ACT score of 23 or higher/SAT score of 1000 or higher. Wayne HealthCare   Varies The Wayne HealthCare Foundation is proud to provide scholarships for the students in Darke County pursuing a degree in the medical and health-related fields. In 2021 $18,000 in scholarships were awarded. Applicants can apply for the Foundation scholarship twice, once as a graduating high school student and once as a college student continuing their education. Click here for the application. Wabash is proud to offer up to $3,000 in scholarship opportunity to graduating 2022 high school seniors who wish to further their education. Applicant must be a graduating senior with all the basic credits for college, vocation or technical school as well as a son, daughter or under legal guardianship of an active member in good standing with Wabash Mututal Telephone Company. Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Foundation Scholarship
 
$1000 renewable Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, have a career goal in the natural gas and oil industry, be an Ohio resident, and a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher. Mercer County Aktion Club Memorial Scholarship   (2) $500 The Mercer County Aktion Club Memorial Scholarships will be awarded to Mercer County seniors who will attend an accredited four-year, two-year, technical or trade school. Applicant must have some type of disability, a sibling with a disability or be pursuing a degree is in Special Education. Gordon Orthodontics   (2) $1,000 Scholarship applicants must submit the application and an essay highlighting how your orthodontic treatment has benefited you. The essay must be 500 words or less. The criteria for scholarship selection is based on achievement (3.5 cumulative GPA and combined SAT scores of 1000 and/or ACT scores of 24), leadership, school activities (particularly as it relates to the arts), and service throughout the high school years, along with the essay. Whirlpool - Wind Farm Scholarship   $5,000 Applicants must be a senior for the 2021-2022 academic school year, reside in Darke, Preble, Miami, Mercer, Shelby, Auglaize, or Greene counties in ohio, and Randolph or Wayne counties in Indiana, and attend an eligible school. Assure Scholarship for Humanity Postmarked by $1,000 This $1,000 scholarship, provided by ASSURE, is intended for an individual in Mercer County pursuing a degree in a humanities related field, which could include social work or mental health counseling, or has been impacted by a suicide loss. Applicant can either be a non-traditional later-in-life student or a Celina graduating senior. Other requirements include GPA of at least 3.0, financial need, and a required essay. The Helen H. James Memorial Scholarship   $1,000 Helen James was a life-long learner and tireless advocate for public education. She dedicated her life to teaching, writing truths and leading by example. This $1,000 memorial scholarship honors her contributions to this community and beyond. Margaret & Parker Snyder Nursing Scholarship Postmarked or delivered by or given to the guidance office $1,000 Two nursing scholarships will be offered yearly, one to a Celina graduate, and one to a graduate from a Mercer County School. Mercer County Farm Bureau Scholarship   $500 Must be a high school senior entering college or a college freshman entering second year of college in the fall of 2022 majoring in Agriculture. Applicant must be 21 or under. Parents of the applicant or the applicant must be members of the Mercer County Farm Bureau in good standing at the time of applying. Beth Kaiser Scholarship or given to the guidance office $1,000 This scholarship is a tribute to Beth’s kindness, friendly demeanor, sense of humor, and the positive impact she had on those she knew. Criteria includes: Student must be a graduating senior from St. Henry High School and the student must be accepted and prepared to begin a full-time course of study at a two-year or four-year college or university or a two-year or four-year technical school. Cara Siefring Memorial Scholarship   $1,000 The scholarship is in memory of Cara Siefring who would have graduated with the class of 2022. Sons of the American Legion Squad #648   $500

This is a $500 scholarship, but can be renewed for another $500 for a total of $1,000 in scholarship. The primary requirement is that their parent must be a member of the American Legion or Sons of American Legion. Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship   $5,000 Texting while driving is estimated to be equivalent to operating a vehicle under the influence of 4 beers and is 6 times more likely to cause an accident. Applicants must develop a plan that will persuade young adults from texting and driving. The 'plan' can be very open-ended. Applicants can make videos, submit strategies, or really be as creative as they'd like to convey their ideas. Please send any supplemental materials in an email to scholarship@knrlegal.com. Ohio Gas Association Scholarship   $1,000 Scholarship applicants must plan to attend undergraduate college studies, technical or trade school programs. Scholarship winners will be announced in April, 2022. A $1,000 annual scholarship may be renewed up to three additional years. Click here for the scholarship application.  
St. Henry Education Association Senior Scholarship   Up to $2,500 To be eligible students must be a St. Henry senior and be accepted to an accredited college or university, or a two-year training program. Non-Accredited institutions will not be considered. Please have a completed/typed application form, an official transcript signed by Mrs. Overman, and an essay. If you receive an interview, you will be contacted by the school counselor by the end of the day on Monday, April 11th. St. Henry American Legion Auxiliary Unit 648 Scholarship   $250 Applicant must be a 2022 high school senior and a member, child or grandchild of an ACTIVE St. Henry American Legion Auxiliary member. The grant will be awarded based on the essay and community involvement and will be selected by The Children and Youth Committee of The St. Henry American Legion Auxiliary. PT Services Scholarship   $500 A $500 Scholarship will be awarded to an eligible St. Henry High School Senior. Students must be accepted to a 2 or 4 year school pursuing a degree in Physical therapy, Occupational Therapy, Athletic Training or the medical field. Racing for Relief Scholarship   $500 A $500 Scholarship will be awarded to any student attending a post-secondary education in the next year and they must be a current senior or older. Click herefor the application.  
VFW Post 5135 Scholarship   $500 Any current member of the St. Henry High School Senior Class, who wishes to further his/her education at any 4 year or 2 year college, technical school, trade school or any other institute of higher learning. The V.F.W. Post 5135 will be awarded a $500 scholarship on the basis of academics, needs, and participation in school and community activities. Click here for the application.  
Shane Long Memorial Scholarship   $500 A $500 scholarship will be awarded to any student furthering their education after high school. Applicants must be a current senior from St. Henry High School. Click here for the application. SH Student
Mary Alice E. Bruns Scholarship   $1,000 This scholarship is intended for a graduating senior to pursue higher education in a technical, trade, or academic program. The Mary Alice E. Bruns Scholarship is for $1,000 and will be made payable to the student and his or her higher education institution. Click here for the application.  
Sister Mary Henry Bernard Scholarship   (2) $1000 Two scholarships for $1,000 will be awarded to graduating seniors majoring in Catholic Theology, Teacher Education, Liberal Arts or Any Sciences. Please turn this scholarship into the Superintendent's office. Click here for the application.  
Community Club Scholarship   (2) $500.00 scholarships St. Henry graduating senior pursuing further education at a 2 or 4 year college or university. The applicant must also have maintained a 2.5 or better GPA in all coursework. Click here for the application.  
Joe Werling Memorial Scholarship or given to the guidance office (1) $1,000 and (1) $500 Awarded to a St. Henry high school senior who will be attending some type of post-secondary education. The scholarship is geared more to the individual who has the same qualities of life that Joe had and not based on GPA. The application speaks more about Joe’s qualities and activities. Fred Werling Fine Arts Scholarship   $1,000 The Fred Werling Fine Arts Scholarship, managed by the Fort Recovery Community Foundation, is intended for a graduating senior to pursue higher education in fine arts. Fred Werling graduated from St. Henry High School in 1964. As a student he was involved in drama, band, and chorus. Linus & Juletta Huelskamp Scholarship   (2) $500 This scholarship is in memory of Juletta Huelskamp who was a long-time teacher in the St. Henry school system. Carol Werling Broyles Memorial Scholarship   $500 This scholarship is awarded to a St. Henry High School senior, with the exception of family members, who will be attending some type of post-secondary education in the medical field (preferably nursing). Carol was an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Miami Valley Hospital for over 25 years, a member of numerous nursing & medical organizations and a world traveler. Click here for the application. John and Ruth Houts Memorial Scholarship   $500 This scholarship is awarded in the memory of John and Ruth Houts to a St. Henry High School Senior. Funds are administered by the Mercer County Civic Foundation. Candidates must intend to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree in any area of study, have a least 2.5 GPA, must exhibit great character spiritually, socially, and academically. Stephen R. Vores & Steel Welding Scholarship Must be postmarked by or given to the guidance office $1,000 This grant will be awarded each year for a graduating student from Mercer County with preference for a Fort Recovery senior. Mercer Soil and Water Conservation District and Mercer Landmark Scholarship   $2,000 This scholarship is for high school seniors in Mercer County or a college freshman or sophomore who has graduated from a Mercer County school. Mercer Soil and Water Conservation District and Vantilburg Farms Scholarship   $1,500 Eligibility is based on the following criteria: high school senior or freshman/sophomore college student pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in an environmental, conservation, construction, civil/environmental engineering, or agricultural related field from Mercer County. Recipients must have also completed a semester with a 2.5 GPA before receiving the scholarship money. Van Wert Health Care Program   (5) $1,000 Applicant must be a high school senior graduating in 2022 and residing and/or graduating from a school in Allen, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, or Van Wert Counties. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited two or four year post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis by the end of 2022. The school of choice must have a program leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate in the student’s chosen major. The applicant's major must be human healthcare specific (majoring in a biological science is permissible). A minimum of a 3.0 GPA in high school and must demonstrate good character. Fort Street Car Classics Scholarship   $500 Fort Street Car Classics has established a scholarship program for students who continue their post-secondary education in an automotive field. Students must be current seniors or already enrolled in a post-secondary program and a resident of Mercer County, Ohio or Jay County, Indiana to be eligible. The Scholarship will be in the amount of $500 payable to the student. This award is a gift to the recipient, contingent upon the completion of the planned educational program. St. Henry Football Alumni Scholarship   $500 One $500 scholarship will be awarded to one senior football player from the St. Henry Football Alumni. All scholarship funds were raised from the St. Henry Football Alumni and Friends golf outing. All applicants will be reviewed and evaluated by the scholarship committee. To be eligible the football player must have played 4 years of high school football at any level, earned a 2.75 CPA in all course work, and must be accepted to attend a 4 year bachelor degree program, technical, vocational or associate program of 2 years. Joel Broering Memorial Scholarship   $10,000 Joel Broering Award will be awarded yearly to a graduating senior from St. Henry High School. Student must be a graduating senior and no minimum GPA is required. Students must be registered to begin a full-time course of study at either a 2 or 4 year college or technical school. Press Pros MAC Athlete of the Year   $2,500 The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize athletic achievement, promote good sportsmanship among all athletes in the MAC, and to assist with the costs of higher education. Through the generous support of MAC area sponsors, a $2500 scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student athlete annually. HRAWO Scholarship   $1000 Human Resources Association of Western Ohio (HRAWO) will be issuing one scholarship to be used towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at an accredited university. James H. Borger Scholarship   $1,400 Student must be a graduating senior from St. Henry High School. Grade point average is NOT taken into consideration. Student must be accepted and prepared to begin a full-time course of study at a two-year or four-year college or university or a two-year or four-year technical school. St. Henry American Legion Post Scholarship   (4) $500 Open to any member in good standing of the St. Henry American Legion, their spouse, child, grandchild or great-grandchild who wishes to further his/her education at any institute of higher learning, including university, college, technical school, trade school. Farmers Equipment "Invest in Our Future" Scholarship   (2) $500 Support local junior fair projects in counties with Farmers Equipment customers by offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors involved in their county fairs through 4-H or FFA. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded in 20 counties that Farmers Equipment does business, to 4-H and/or FFA members who are graduating high school seniors. West Central Ohio Manufacturing Partnership STEM Scholarship   (5) $1000 Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, a high school senior with a 2.5 or higher GPA. The student must be planning on enrolling or already enrolled in a full-time accredited career technical center, trade specific school, or community college in the United States. Lastly, the student must be willing to consider a paid internship with WCOMP member companies, other circumstances notwithstanding (note: the internship is not required to receive a scholarship, and schoalrship recipients are not guaranteed an internship). $1,000 The Annual Meeting Scholarship is open to any Midwest Electric member who will be a college or trade school student in the fall of 2022.
